As we approach the end of 2024, Jobs of Hope would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It has been a busy year full of exciting changes and developments, and we could not have done any of it without your support. We remain committed to serving the Weld County community and are forever grateful for all the support you have provided us throughout the year.
As the Holiday season progresses, Jobs of Hope would like to remind you of the true meaning of Christmas. Many people get fixated on receiving the latest and greatest smartphone, the newest clothes, or the latest gaming system. While giving and receiving gifts is fun, it’s important to realize that the true reason for the holidays is God’s gift of his only Son, Jesus Christ. There is truly no greater gift.
God Himself stepped into humanity through Jesus and provided the long-awaited Messiah that so many people in that day had been hoping for. Throughout the pages of the Old Testament, the anticipation of the coming Savior grows as prophets, kings, and ordinary people wrote about the hope they had that God would send someone to save them. And then, in a city no one expected, to parents nobody noticed, a child was born that brought all of Heaven into magnificent praise! Jesus Christ lived, ministered, and died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for sin, for us, and for humanity. And on that 3rd day, He rose! His righteousness could now be ours. Through faith, we could be reconciled back to God! It was true then, and it's true today. By placing your faith in Christ, this salvation, this good news, this greatest gift can be yours.
As you take part in all your Christmas activities this year, please take a moment to reflect on God’s gift of his one and only son, Jesus Christ. Also please continue to pray for the future success of Jobs of Hope and for the lives of the participants in our program. We pray each and every one of you to have a merry Christmas and a wonderful rest of 2024.
And the angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy--the Son of God." – Luke 1:35
